HANOVER — Voters in the Dresden School District approved all articles on the warrant in ballot voting on Tuesday.
They approved a $31.1 million budget to support secondary education for the towns of Hanover and Norwich. That is up from the $29.3 million budget voters approved last year, according to previous reporting.
They also approved the cost of a new two-year collective bargaining agreement with Hanover and Dresden service staff, which is expected to increase salaries and benefits for maintenance and custodial technicians by $26,990 in the coming school year.
Voters affirmed that the Dresden School Board, while being fiscally responsible, ought to establish policies to move school facilities and operations to renewable energy sources for electricity, heating and cooling, and transportation.
