Annual meeting preview: New teacher contract on Dresden ballot

Article of note: One article asks voters whether they support the cost of a new three-year collective bargaining agreement between the Hanover Education Association and the Dresden School Board. The cost of the new contract in the first year, 2024-25, is $792,000.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed budget is $30.25 million, which is down slightly from the $31.1 million voters approved last year.

When, where and how to vote: The annual district meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 5 p.m. at Hanover High School. No voting will take place that day. Voting by ballot will take place on Tuesday, March 5 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hanover voters will vote at the high school, while Norwich voters will vote at Tracy Hall.
