Dennis Joseph Dube

Claremont, N.H. — Dennis Joseph Dube, 76, passed away Tuesday Jan. 24, 2017, at his home surrounded by family.

Dennis was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Newport, Vt., to the late Joseph and Laura Dube. Growing up Dennis attended catholic schools in Newport, Vt., as well as Brattleboro, Vt. before graduating from Hinsdale Jr. High and St. Michaels. Following graduation Dennis enlisted in the military serving in both the Army and the Navy. Following his time in the service he had numerous jobs, all of which he enjoyed. He worked at Distachio, an X-ray company in Florida and a Book press for many years, as well as for Pepsi in Brattleboro, Vt., he did CPA work and drove a taxi.

In Dennis’s free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, camping in the White Mountains and spending time on Mirror Lake, and Lake Spofford. He was an avid fisherman and even had his own Senior Pro Bass Tournament in Florida. Dennis also is a past President of the American Bass Association, Country Boy Tournament Trail and Senior Bass tournament Trail in Florida.

He is predeceased by both his parents, Joseph and Laura Dube; his first wife, Penelope; second wife, Barbara Stone; and a son, Lee Mark Joseph Dube.

He is survived by his wife Shannon, sons, Dennis Jr. LaFlam of Ohio, Timothy Patrick LaFlam of Georgia, Shane Dube of Connecticut and Troy Butler of New Hampshire, daughters, Tamsyn Butler of Vermont and Cassie Butler Wright of New Hampshire.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. in the Listen Community hall in the River Point Plaza in White River Junction, Vt. Messages of condolence may be expressed with the family through an online guestbook by visiting www.rickerfuneralhome.com.
