LEBANON — A nonprofit organization that provides support and housing for families with children who are undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center has named a new executive director.

Don Dutton, who has served as the director of finance and administration at David’s House for 12 years, has been promoted to the top role, according to a news release from the Lebanon-based organization. Dutton replaces Jaye Olmstead, who led David’s House for 15 years.

Dutton worked as finance director for SEVCA, a Vermont Community Action Agency, and was the administrative and technology director for ACCORD, a New York Community Action Agency, prior to being hired by David’s House as its finance manager in 2008.

“In my former jobs, I worked behind the scenes but being at David’s House and seeing the impact in real time with real people in immediate and critical needs has been life-changing for me,” Dutton said in the release. “There’s nowhere else I would want to be.”
