SAN MARCOS, Texas — It took more than a month and 11 games, but the Dartmouth College women’s basketball team finally picked up the first win of the Adrienne Shibles era — and the Big Green did so in dominant fashion.

Dartmouth (1-10) never trailed in a 62-39 road beatdown of Texas State (5-5), holding the Bobcats under 25% on field goals.

Offensively, the Big Green were very balanced. Senior guard Katie Douglas led Dartmouth with 11 points, and six other players had at least five. Freshman forward Doreen Ariik cleaned up on the glass with 10 rebounds, and freshman guard Victoria Page was 3-for-5 from behind the arc.

“I am so proud of this young, resilient team,” Shibles said postgame. “They came to battle today and exhibited poise and toughness throughout the contest.”

Dartmouth will be back in New England on Sunday for a road game against Maine and former Windsor High standout Olivia Rockwood.
