HANOVER — Kate Dreyer’s unassisted goal with 11½ minutes to play enabled Kansas to pull past Dartmouth, 2-1, on Thursday night at Whitey Burnham Field in the first meeting of the two women’s soccer programs.

The Big Green (4-2-1) has dropped two straight matches after a season-opening five-game unbeaten streak.

An even first half stayed that way with a 1-1 tally on the scoreboard at the interval. Rylan Childers put the Jayhawks (5-3-1) on top in the 14th minute, but Dartmouth’s Erin Kawakami bundled home a rolling ball off the foot of teammate Hannah Curtin 13 minutes later to tie it up. Daisy Granholm also assisted.

Dreyer scored out of a scramble at 78:21 for the winner. Both teams attempted 11 shots, with Kansas holding a 4-3 edge in on-target attempts. Charlotte Cyr had a pair of saves in the Dartmouth net.

The Big Green is off until opening Ivy League play at Brown on Sept. 25.
