CORNISH — At the polls on Tuesday, Keith Beardslee won a three-year term on the Selectboard, beating out Michael Belanger, 312-254.

Voters also approved three zoning amendments, allowing a home-based child care center in all zoning districts, allowing a child care agency to operate as a principle use by special exception and amending parking requirements to come into compliance with state law, which prohibits towns from requiring more than 1.5 residential off-street parking spaces for studio and one-bedroom apartments of less than 1,000 square feet.

The floor meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 10 a.m. in the Cornish Elementary School gymnasium.
