CORNISH — Current Reading (Vt.) Elementary School principal Brandon Hill has been tapped to lead Cornish Elementary School.

Hill, of Charlestown, will begin his new role at the pre-K through grade eight school on July 1, according to an announcement from the Cornish School District.

He replaces Karin Denholm, who is leaving to become principal of Indian River School in West Canaan.

“His background includes work as a 5th grade teacher and schoolwide lead teacher — roles in which he took on increasing administrative responsibilities and became known for his steady leadership and deep commitment to student success,” according to the announcement.

Hill has worked in education for 15 years and also has experience as a middle school coach.
