Town Meeting preview: Corinth voters to hear report on spending federal ARPA funds

Article of note: Voters will hear a report from the Selectboard on its plans for spending the town’s federal funds received through the American Rescue Plan Act.

Contested races: There are no contested races.

Budgets and spending articles: Voters will be asked to approve a highway fund budget of $883,000, of which $659,000 is to be raised by taxes, as well as a $456,000 general fund budget, of which $240,000 is to come from taxes. Additional spending articles include $89,000 for the Highway Capital Equipment Fund, $15,000 for the Bridge Reserve Fund, and $5,000 for the Town Hall Capital Improvement Fund.

When, where and how to vote: Corinth is scheduled to hold its Town Meeting at 10 a.m. on March 7 at the Town Hall, 1387 Cookeville Road. Election of officers by Australian ballot will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Town Hall.
