CLAREMONT — The Claremont School Board is holding an informational meeting about draft public school standards on Thursday.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Stevens High School, 175 Broad Street.

The 306 Minimum Standards for Public School Approval, which lay out the requirements for all public schools in the state, are set by the New Hampshire Board of Education. They are updated every 10 years. This revision is due in 2024.

The standards encompass many aspects of education, including graduation requirements, and guidelines for competency-based learning, personal learning plans, and school climate and culture.

A 139-page draft of the standards is available online at: tinyurl.com/2p8ss5bs
