Claremont School Board accepting applications for vacant seat

CLAREMONT — The Claremont School District is seeking applicants to fill a vacant seat on the Claremont School Board for a term that expires in March.

Residents who wish to be considered should send a letter expressing interest to SAU 6 Administrative Assistant Chelsea Weatherford at cweatherford@sau6.org or at the SAU office at 165 Broad Street.

The deadline to apply is Monday at 4 p.m.

School Board members will interview the applicants and make an appointment at their next meeting at 6:30 p.m. on July 19 at the Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center.

The School Board meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Board members also participate periodically in SAU meetings with the Unity School Board.

The eventual appointee will replace Steven Horsky, who resigned his seat for personal reasons.
