CLAREMONT — The SAU 6 School Board has removed the “interim” tag from SAU 6 Superintendent Christopher A. Pratt’s title. Pratt was named superintendent of the district, which includes Claremont and Unity, after the School Board fired Michael Tempesta in January.

Pratt joined the district in 2022 as principal of Stevens High School. Prior to coming to Claremont, Pratt was employed as superintendent of schools at Windham Northeast Supervisory Union in Bellows Falls, Vt,, and Windham Southwest Supervisory Union in Wilmington, Vt., according to a Thursday news release from the SAU 6 School Board.

“Mr. Pratt envisions a future for SAU6 where every student is engaged, empowered, and excelling in their education,” according to the news release. “He aims to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that fosters academic achievement, personal growth, and social responsibility.”
