Claremont OKs contracts for paraprofessionals, administrators

CLAREMONT — In a three-way race for two three-year terms on the School Board, voters elected Loren Howard and William Madden on Tuesday.

Madden earned 629 votes, Howard earned 586, and Emily Sandblade, 501.

Voters also approved a school budget of $42.9 million, as well as a new three-year contract with the paraprofessional association slated to cost $168,000 in the first year.

They also narrowly approved a new contract with the administration association, 511-509. It is expected to cost $78,000 in 2025-26.
