School election: Claremont voters approve budget, elect 3 to board

CLAREMONT — Voters elected Frank Sprague and Arlene Hawkins to three-year terms on the Claremont School Board on Tuesday.

Sprague received 515 votes and Hawkins received 417. Nicholas Stone was third with 408 votes. Jennifer Gallagher bested Michael Petrin for a one-year term on the board.

Voters also approved the school district’s $38.35 million operating budget, 519 to 262. The budget is up from $36.9 million last year.
