WEST LEBANON — Claremont Savings Bank plans to open a full-service branch at 106 North Main St., an expansion into the heart of the Upper Valley.

The West Lebanon branch, which would open this summer, will be in the first floor of the building which is currently home to stations connected to Great Eastern Radio, according to a news release from the bank on Monday. The radio station operations will be consolidated on the second floor of the building, the release said.

Claremont Savings Bank has had a loan production office in West Lebanon for the past three years but is opening a full-scale branch because of the number of people who live in Claremont and work in the Lebanon area, and those who do the reverse commute as well, bank President Reggie Greene said in the news release.

The West Lebanon location of the new branch, near Bridge Street, will offer easy access to Hanover and White River Junction, the release noted. Claremont Savings Bank currently has branches in Claremont, Charlestown and Springfield, Vt.
