CLAREMONT — The Claremont Opera House has received a grant to assist patrons with hearing loss.

The $6,860 grant awarded by the AARP will allow the nonprofit organization to upgrade its assisted listening devices, according to a news release.

“Seniors who have existing hearing devices or others who just need to boost voices during a show, will be able to connect to this new system, improving their experience in the theater,” Scott Hagar, the opera house’s executive director, said in the release.
