CLAREMONT — The Claremont district office of the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services on Water Street is set to remain closed through mid-April due to water damage caused by burst pipes earlier this winter, according to a Tuesday DHHS release.

The office, located at 17 Water Street, Suite 301, has been closed since extreme cold in early February caused pipes to burst. Work continues to repair the damage, the release said.

While the office is closed, staff from the Bureau of Family Assistance will continue to meet with clients in person at the New Hampshire Employment Security office, at 404 Washington Street in Claremont, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Employees working at the temporary site are able to answer questions, process paperwork and schedule appointments.

Clients also can manage their accounts and apply for services online at nheasy.nh.gov/#/, or they can contact DHHS programs for services by phone, including DHHS Customer Service Center at 1-844-ASK-DHHS (1-844-275-3447).
