CHELSEA — In Tuesday’s floor meeting, 74 Chelsea voters approved all articles on the warning.

That included a general fund budget of $1.5 million, of which $1 million is slated to come from taxes. That is up from the $1.41 million budget approved last year, which required $953,000 in taxes.

Voters also approved $14,240 for social service organizations, as well as $2,000 for The Chelsea Spotlight Newsletter, which voters added on to the general fund budget from the floor.

In ballot voting, Chelsea voters elected Jesse Brinkman Kay to a two-year seat on the Selectboard over Ronald Johnson, 83-75. In uncontested Selectboard races, Kelly Nolan Lyford earned a three-year term on the board and William Lyon earned one year remaining on a three-year term.
