Woodstock police find car hanging over embankment, seek driver

WOODSTOCK — Woodstock police are investigating after finding a car that had crashed through the railing along River Street on Thursday morning.

Police said the single-vehicle crash involving the blue four-door car with North Carolina license plates occurred between 4 and 5 a.m. near the intersection with Elm Street. Officers found the car hanging over part of the embankment above the Ottauquechee River, but no driver or occupants were at the scene.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Woodstock police at 802-457-1420.
