HARTLAND — Residents voting by Australian ballot on Tuesday passed all budget articles and backed two Selectboard members in contested races.

The $3.09 million general fund and highway budget was approved, 660-238. Hartland’s $9.03 million school budget passed, 540-363.

Meanwhile, Selectboard member Phil Hobbie turned back a challenge from John Sammel, 502-350, and fellow incumbent Mary O’Brien defeated Jacob Holmes, 584-304.

School Board members Colleen Spence and Beth Roy were unopposed for reelection.

Town Moderator Matt Dunne defeated challenger Jennifer Grant, 626-269.

Town Clerk Brian Stroffolino, who was appointed in February after longtime Town Clerk Clyde Jenne retired, also won election to his post. He faced no opposition.
