Bradford, Vt., fire burns barn with apartment, 20 acres of land

BRADFORD, Vt. — A brush fire Tuesday afternoon leveled a barn with an apartment and threatened several other homes on a rural road off Route 25.

The fire near Erwin Road in Bradford, near the Corinth line, burned through about 20 acres, firefighters said. Fire crews were still working on hot spots around 6 p.m., but the fire was contained by then. No injuries were reported, officials said.
