POST MILLS — A celebration of life for hot-air balloonist Brian Boland will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Post Mills Airport.

The 72-year-old Boland, a longtime Post Mills resident who ran the airport, was killed July 15 after falling from a hot-air balloon he was piloting near the Connecticut River in Bradford, Vt.

People attending the gathering, which is being organized by Boland’s partner, Tina Foster, are asked to bring photos to add to an exhibit, a snack to share and chairs. There will be live music and a chance for attendees to share memories of Boland, who was known internationally for his ballooning.

Masks are encouraged, and dogs must be on leashes.
