LEBANON — A 44-year-old Bradford woman was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with severe injuries sustained in a car crash that killed two of the vehicle’s four occupants on Interstate 91 in Barnet, Vt., on Saturday afternoon.

Christina Montandon was one of two occupants who were able to make it out alive from an overturned 2015 Nissan Versa that had been traveling south on I-91 at around 1 p.m. on Saturday when for an unknown reason it left the west side of the highway and crashed into a large tree and rolled over, Vermont State Police reported in a news release on Saturday evening.

Two of the vehicle’s occupants, Jessica Norre, 27, and Bryana Gillis, 28, both of St, Johnsbury, were found deceased inside the vehicle when emergency crews arrived at the scene, police said.

A fourth occupant, Richard Kendall III, 29, was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury with minor injuries.

Police said none of the occupants of the vehicle had been wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and police have yet to determine who was at the wheel of the vehicle, the news release said.

Anyone who may have witnessed this crash is asked to call Trooper Jason Haley out of the St Johnsbury State Police Barracks at 802-748-3111.
