Bradford, Vt. voters approve skate park

BRADFORD — Voters decided to proceed with the construction of a skate park at the floor vote portion of Town Meeting on Saturday.

Attendees voted 120-50 to go forward with the plans to create a skate park at Elizabeth’s Park located at 464 Fairground Road. Voters also approved appropriating $195,000 in surplus funds to the parks and recreation capital fund for construction.

Voters approved all other warning articles before them on Saturday, including a $1.68 million general fund budget, a $1.28 million highway budget, and almost $19,200 to support the Old Church Theatre Insulation Project.

Residents can vote for elected officials, including Selectboard, by Australian ballot on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bradford Academy auditorium.
