CHELSEA — A Bradford, Vt., man who allegedly eluded police on Sunday night has pleaded not guilty to that allegation and driving under the influence.

Sean McGurk, 48, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on Tuesday to DUI, a third offense, and attempting to elude law enforcement/negligent operation, both felonies, Assistant Orange County Attorney Dickson Corbett said on Wednesday.

A judge set bail at $15,000.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, police were searching for a man who was involved in a dispute earlier in the night in Fairlee. When police located the man, who they say is McGurk, in Bradford, they tried to pull his vehicle over, but he allegedly led them on a two-state chase, according to a news release.
