Barnard voters approve funding to expand road crew

BARNARD — At Town Meeting on Tuesday, voters added $120,000 to the town budget for a fourth road crew member.

The motion to amend the budget was made by James Lancaster and seconded by Ed Jodice, according to minutes from the meeting.

The addition brought the highway budget approved by voters to $1.62 million, of which $1.49 million is to come from taxes, and the general fund to $892,000, of which $606,000 is to come from taxes.

Voters also approved $16,500 for the restoration of 13 original windows on the main floor of the Danforth Library.

They elected Bob Edmunds to a three-year term on the Selectboard.
