GRAFTON — Ruggles Mine is no longer up for auction.

The former tourist attraction in Grafton was scheduled to go on auction Friday, after Exciglow, the New York-based production company that purchased it in 2019, failed to pay its mortgage or taxes.

Daniel Connolly, who serves as the trustee of the Ruggles Mine Liquidating Trust, confirmed Wednesday that the roughly 235-acre property on Ruggles Mine Road was no longer up for auction. He declined to provide further details.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there were no deeds of sale registered in either the town of Grafton or the Grafton County Register of Deeds.
