Please support the Valley News during the COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the local economy — and many of the advertisers who support our work — to a near standstill. During this unprecedented challenge, we continue to make our coronavirus coverage free to everyone at because we feel our most critical mission is to deliver vital information to our communities.

If you believe local news is essential, especially during this crisis, we are asking for your support. Please consider subscribing or making a donation today. Learn more at the links below.

Thank you for your support of the Valley News.

Map of Upper Valley Food Shelves

Friday, February 26, 2016
One of my responsibilities at the Valley News is to keep our volunteer, support group and food shelf listings up-to-date. You might have come across one of these lists in an edition of the Sunday Valley News, but do you know where they’re located on our website?

Here’s the answer: the Volunteers page.

Food shelves, particularly this time of year, are in need of assistance and donations. To highlight the food shelves in our area, the Valley News created this interactive map below. (Click here for a mobile-friendly link.)

You can find our regular printable list at this link.

Do you see information on the list that needs to be updated? Did we forget any other organizations that have food pantries? Let us know by emailing or calling 603-727-3221.

Liz Sauchelli is the VALLEY NEWS Calendar editor. From time to time, she uses the Upper Valley Dispatch blog to highlight calendar listings and weekend events of interest. To submit a calendar listing — for weekends or weekdays! — visit or email Sauchelli at
