Thetford Barn Destroyed

Tuesday, September 01, 2015
Vermont State Police Fire Investigator Larry Smith, left, and Vermont Department of Public Safety Fire Marshal Stan Baranowski look over the remains of a two-story barn in Thetford. Investigators said the fire at the barn at 205 Academy Road was reported around 4:30 a.m. on Monday and that the structure was “fully engulfed in fire.” The building, which belongs to Ruel and Virginia Barrett, was being used for storage and had no electricity. Officials said the cause of the fire has been classified as “undetermined,” and anyone with information should contact Vermont State Police or Thetford police. Valley News — Jennifer Hauck
