Chauncey B. “Scott” Dunham

White River Junction, Vt. — Chauncey B. “Scott” Dunham, 79, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at his home after a brief battle with lung cancer.

He was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Lebanon, N.H., the son of Clarence and Avis (Day) Dunham. He attended the Sacred Heart School in Lebanon and went to work as a cook at an early age. Over the years he worked at numerous restaurants around the Upper Valley. He worked for Don Henry & Sons at the telephone company in White River Junction for thirty years retiring in September 2014 due to his illness.

Chauncey enjoyed bowling, making home improvements and working around the house, he loved making people laugh and picking on them.

He is predeceased by brothers Hector “Tooie” Dunham and Clarence “ Sam” Dunham and a granddaughter Erin Odessa Page. Survivors included his wife Judy (Maher) Dunham; children, Denise (Dunham) Page and husband John, Kelly (Dunham) Fisher and husband Christopher, Kim Nahodil, Krystal Pheasant, Scott Dunham, and Todd Dunham; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Chris Dunham, Micole Bellimer, and Evan Orion Page; and siblings Harry Dunham and Dorothy Sweat.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at the West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon, N.H. at 1 p.m. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences to Scott’s family may be made in an online guestbook at
