Albert Sidney Freeman III

Campton, N.H. — Albert Sidney Freeman III, 69, of Campton, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at his home, after a battle with cancer.

Born in Morristown, N.J. on June 19, 1949, he was the son of Albert S. Jr. and Dorothy (Ramsey) Freeman.

Al grew up in Randolph, N.J. and graduated from Randolph High School, class of 1967. He also was a graduate of Plymouth State College, with a Bachelors’ degree in business. He moved to Plymouth permanently in 1973 and has been a resident of Campton since 1978.

Al worked in the banking industry most all his life at several different banks including, The Citizen Bank, The Pemi Bank, both in Plymouth, the former Lake Sunapee Bank, now the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Company, in Lebanon, as a Commercial Loan Officer.

Al was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for skiing and hiking. He enjoyed hiking the White Mountains and the New England part of the Appalachian Trail.

Al was a strong supporter and very active in the New England Disabled Sports at Loon Mountain.

Al is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ellen E. (Dufford) Freeman of Campton; his children, Erin Freeman of Pembroke, Ethan Freeman of Thornton; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Lorden of Webster; two brothers, Craig and Michael Freeman, both of New Jersey; nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth, on Thursday, Aug 9, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held in the Blair Cemetery, Blair Bridge Road, Campton, on Friday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m.
