Softball

Hanover 19
Hollis-Brookline 12

Key players: Hanover — Sophie Wise (3-for-4, 3 RBIs); Kit Tullar (3-for-5); Abby Campfield (3-for-5, 3 RBIs, HR); Jess Lobb (7 IP, 6 SO) Hollis-Brookline — Kailey Disco (3-for-4, triple)

Highlights: Hanover collected 16 hits on the day, including three each from Wise, Tullar and Campfield. Hanover scored runs in five of the six innings and exploded for seven in the first, four in the fourth and five in the sixth. Lobb pitched the complete game for the Bears, striking out six. Campfield homered in the sixth, scoring three.

Highlights: Murray led Lebanon’s offense with two hits driving in three of the Raiders’ five runs. Lebanon fought until the end, putting up two runs but couldn’t clinch the win. Coombs behind the Milford plate shut down Raider attempts to steal, helping Mazzeo focus on the batters for the win.

Highlights: Felice really showed her range at shortstop, getting some deep balls and grabbing critical outs, ultimately recording five putouts on the day. Kleefisch and Vivan were forces at the plate with their bats, getting two hits each for Windsor despite the solid work of Leland & Gray pitcher Lowe.

Highlights: Amazing tie-break win from Rockmore at No. 5 singles. Sophia Costa came back at No. 2 singles for a 9-7 win.

Littleton 6, Lebanon 3

Key players: Lebanon — Hailey Schibuola, Laura Hines, Sophie Longacre

Highlights: Schibuola was an 8-5 winner at No. 2 singles, Hines an 8-3 winner at No. 6 singles, and the Hines/Longacre tandem won at No. 3 doubles. Hannah Rich and Mari Utell came oh so close at Nos. 3 and 4 singles respectively, both falling 8-6.

Highlights: Thetford limited Blue Mountain to three hits but surrendered 10 walks and committed five errors. The Panthers had six hits.

Rivendell 9, West Rutland 6

Key players: Rivendell — Will Knowles, Parker Piper, Luke Avery, Mason Fahey, Christian Ditcheos

Highlights: Rivendell pitchers Knowles (five innings, four runs, three earned, three sstrikeouts) and Piper (three innings, two runs, one earned, two strikeouts) had a strong game. Raptors hitters Piper (2-for-5, RBI single in eighth), Avery (2-for-5), Fahey (2-for-5, RBI) and Ditcheos (1-for-2, 2 RBIs) led the way on offense. Rivendell scored three in top of the eighth on an RBI single by Piper along with RBI walks to Ditcheos and Robert McNelly. Piper snagged a one-out, first-and-third line drive and doubled off the man at first.
