Pumpkin and Spice, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society
This week we’re featuring a pair of cats with the perfect names for the fall season – Pumpkin and Spice!
Pumpkin is 2 years old. He loves being petted and held. He enjoys sitting on laps and bathing in the sun. Pumpkin is very chatty and always has a lot to say.
Spice is 1 year old. She loves attention and being held. She’s a purr machine! Spice enjoys playing with toys and hanging out with her human friends.
Pumpkin and Spice can be adopted separately, but we’d love for them to find a home together since they previously lived together.
(Pumpkin and Spice are up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.)

Betty, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society
"Hi! My name’s Betty and I’m a 3-year-old spayed female. I came to Lucy Mackenzie when a very nice person found me fending on my own as a stray and said, ‘That's no life for this little sweetheart!’
“So much has happened during my time here: I’ve been spayed, vaccinated and made very comfortable. There are always lots of toys, yummy food and comfy beds — I love it! I've made many cat and people friends, too. My favorite things are playtime, cuddles and napping. As much as I enjoy it here, I really can’t wait until I find a loving home of my very own.
“If you’ve been looking for a adorable and adoring feline to bring lots of joy to your life, stop in and meet me today!”
(Betty is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.)

Panda, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society
“I am 6-year-old Panda. I was found by a kind person who saw me limping along a trail. Worried about my injury, I was brought to the humane society and then went straight to the vet. An X-ray found an old pelvic fracture, but I also had a cut on my foot. I am all fixed up now and ready for a new home!
“I can be a little protective of my foot and quirky at times so I need a cat savvy person to adopt me. I am vet checked, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative!”
(Panda is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.)
