Buck, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society

Buck is a 4-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. He’s a big lap dog and loves people. He also loves car rides!

Buck gets anxious when his humans leave, so he’d like to be with someone who can spend a lot of time with him. He’s lived with cats, but he likes to play rough with them, so tough kitties only.

Buck is a hound, so scent games would be really fun, and he’s very food motivated, so training will be blast.

Come in to meet Buck, Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m.!

(Buck is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.)

Bucky, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society

We are not sure why this gentle giant is still waiting for his forever home!

Five-year-old Bucky, weighing in at over 20 pounds, is a sweet, laid back boy that just wants a human of his own to cuddle up next to.

If you are looking for a big love bug, he is your man!

(Bucky is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.)

Captain, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society

“Hi! My name’s Captain and I’m a 1-year-old Husky mix that came to Lucy Mackenzie as a stray.

“You can easily consider me a fun-loving guy. It’s great here at the shelter, mainly because there are lots of people that like to take me for walks and play with me. They also give me very comfortable beds to sleep in and lots of yummy treats. I’ve noticed lately that I get really good treats when I do something special, like sit, or be patient — you know, obedient things!

“We spend a lot of time practicing dog behaviors when I’m outside on a leash. I absolutely love to run around, and when I’m done, it’s all about the cuddle time.

“I think the perfect person for me would be somebody that is fun-loving, just like me, and also somebody that will continue to work on my training. I’m young and know that some day I’ll be a superstar that is super well-behaved. I’m interested in other dogs and am hopeful that maybe some day I’ll have a canine companion of my own.

“In the meantime, my focus is on finding a family to call my own. As much as I’m enjoying my time here, I really can’t wait until I'm adopted.

“If you’ve been looking for a young, adorable guy that promises to bring lots of smiles and love to your life, stop in and meet me today!”
