Monica, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society

“Hi! My name’s Monica and I’m a spayed female. I can’t quite remember how old I am, but I’m somewhere between 1 and 4 years old.

“Yes, I’m cross eyed, but trust me — that’s the least of my worries! I came to Lucy Mackenzie this past winter when I was found nearly dead. I had been accidentally locked away in a garage and almost starved. A nice lady found me, brought me here and now I’m healthy, playful and looking for a great home. I’m affectionate, get along well with most other cats and I’ve been told I’m rather adorable.

“If you’ve been looking for a new feline best friend that has the spirit of a fighter, stop in and meet me today!”

(Monica is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.)

Lapis Lazula, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society

“I am 2-year-old Lapis Lazula. I was adopted as a kitten but, sadly, returned two years later. A new person moved into my home and they did not like cats so I had to go. Not sure why — I was there first!

“However, the kind people here say that they are so glad that I came back to them and promise to find me a wonderful home. Is that with you?

“I am vet checked, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative.”

(Lapis Lazula is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.)

Ava and Simba, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society

Are you looking for a sweet bonded pair of kitties? These beautiful siblings would love to be a part of your family. Meet Ava and Simba. They are very outgoing and love to play together. Simba can be a little bossy to Ava sometimes, but that’s just how brothers are! They love each other regardless and are quite the pair.

They do not spend every moment together but would be devastated if they had to go their separate ways. If these two sound like the pair for you, come say hello!

(Ava and Simba are up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.)
