Tommy, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society

“Hi! My name’s Tommy and I’m a 6-year-old neutered male.

“I came to Lucy Mackenzie when my owner had to relocate and couldn’t take me with her. I was sad at first, but it’s been a good thing because I’ve received some much needed medical attention. Now, I’m feeling great!

“I live in a nice room here at the shelter where I have my very own condo when I sleep at night. During the day, I hang out with my kitty and human friends. I really like it when people come to visit, because I really love people.

“I would love a calm, predictable home where there are lots of comfy beds, little spots of sun to lounge in and lots of head-scratches to go around. If you’ve been missing some feline love in your life, stop in and meet me today!”

Pepper is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.

Boone, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society

“I am 3-year-old Boone. A kind man was feeding me and my little family. Sadly, he became ill and had to move into a nursing home. The humane society knew about us, so volunteers went out and brought me and the rest of my family to the shelter.

“I am a little rough around the edges but I am nothing but a big mush! I am vet checked, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative.”

Boone is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.

Reuben, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society

“Hello there! My name is Reuben and I’m a 2-year-old mixed breed dog.

“I am a little nervous with new people, so I will probably bark at you when we first meet. As we get to know each other, you’ll see what a good boy I am!

“I enjoy going for walks and I love treats, of course. I’d like to go home with someone who is patient and calm. I might be OK to live with another dog after a proper introduction at the shelter. I can sometimes be sensitive with handling, so it’s necessary for me to live with older children only.

“Do you have room in your home and heart for a guy like me?”

Reuben is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.
