Every year for the past decade, AVA Gallery and Art Center, in Lebanon, has gathered work from high school artists around the Upper Valley as a way to recognize their talents and promise.

This year’s show features work from students from many of the Valley’s public schools, including Hanover High School, Hartford Area Career and Technology Center, Hartford High School, Lebanon High School, Ledyard Charter School, Mascoma Valley Regional High School, Newport High School, Oxbow High School, Rivendell Academy, Stevens High School, Thetford Academy and Woodstock Union High School as well as a handful of private schools: Holderness School, Kimball Union Academy, Proctor Academy and The Sharon Academy.

The show continues through Friday, when AVA will also hold a Portfolio Review Day, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., for high school students. Representatives from art programs at Colby-Sawyer College, Lesley University, Maine College of Art, Montserrat College of Art, Skidmore College and the University of New Hampshire will be on hand to review students’ portfolios and to talk about careers in the arts.
