Support John Benson for Vt. Senate
As a dairy farmer in Brookfield, Vt., and a lifelong neighbor of Vt. State Sen. John Benson, I am writing to express my strong support for his election to serve Orange County in the Vermont Senate. Having watched, learned from, and admired him over the years, I know him to be a man of his word who speaks for the collective good rather than personal agendas.
John has served the town of Brookfield for more than 20 years, including roles as fire chief and as the current chair of the selectboard. Having served on the selectboard with John for the past three years, I have witnessed his dedication firsthand — whether volunteering his engineering expertise during the recent floods or maintaining an open-minded approach to problem-solving. His experience and judgment have saved the taxpayers of Brookfield countless amounts of money as we manage our town’s needs and infrastructure.
It was for these reasons that Gov. Phil Scott appointed him to the Orange County Senate seat last fall. Sen. John Benson has proven his commitment to our community, and he is fully worthy of your vote this fall for Orange County Senator.
