Clifton Roderick Delaney

Bradenton, FL – Clifton (Kip) Roderick Delaney, 84, took his eternal ride on September 7, 2026. He was born March 31, 1942 in Franklin, NH to Clifton and Alice Delaney. In his teens he lived with his grandparents, Clara and Albert Babineau, and played football and baseball both in Franklin and in Ridgefield, Connecticut. At 17 he proudly served in the Army. Following his time in the service he went to the New England Linotype School in Boston, Massachusetts, which set him on his career path. He married the love of his life, Linda Mae Elliott, on January 4, 1964. They moved to Lebanon, NH where they raised their two daughters. Throughout his 51-year marriage he was actively involved in the Sacred Heart Parish, participated in marriage encounters, eucharistic ministry, prison ministry, the parish board/council, and prepared couples for marriage. Clifton was on the Lebanon School Board, on the Rotary Council, coached youth basketball and baseball, and officiated high school basketball for NHIAA. Clifton worked at Dartmouth Printing Company. He co-started Valley Copy, which was later called DocuNet, that operated with offices in Lebanon and in Keene NH. In his partial retirement he was fondly remembered for driving Bus 9 for the Lebanon School District, indicating that, "It was the best job I ever had." After Linda passed, he moved to Zellwood and then to Bradenton, Florida, both golfing communities. Clifton lived a life following God. He followed the steps of St. Paul. He loved his family deeply and was beloved. In 2017 Clifton was diagnosed with Parkinson's. He is survived by his daughters Karen Davis (Richard) and Kristin Rouillard; grandchildren Nicholas Avery (Brynna), Samantha Hubbard (Brooks), Michael Avery (Mollie), Jacob Davis, and Benjamin Rouillard; great-grandchildren, August, Thomas, Vaughn, Anderson, Graham, and Everett; his sister Ethel Mae Merchant and his brother James Delaney. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda (Elliott) Delaney, parents Clifton and Alice (Brough) Delaney, and his sisters Sylvia Matara, Shirley Downes, and Susan Libby. A celebration of life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lebanon, New Hampshire on December 10, 2026 at 10:00 am. Any offerings you wish to make should be made to The Michael J.
