CANAAN — Mascoma Valley Regional School District has hired a new principal for Canaan Elementary School from within the district.

Ryan Limero began as a teacher at Enfield Village School in 2014 and taught first, third and fourth grades there before becoming associate principal at Indian River School, the district’s middle school, in 2023. He takes over at Canaan Elementary for the 2026-27 school year.
The Mascoma district serves the towns of Canaan, Dorchester, Enfield, Grafton and Orange and comprises two elementary schools, a middle school and Mascoma Valley Regional High School.
Limero also has twice coached varsity boys soccer at Mascoma and was a soccer player at Elmira College, in Upstate New York. He has a master’s degree in education leadership from New England College in Henniker, N.H.
