Twin Valley Flag Football League to Host Free Agent Combine
Claremont — The Twin Valley Flag Football League will hold a combine on June 22 at River Valley Community College.
The workout, to begin at 1 p.m., is open to anyone out of high school and at least 18 years of age. The practice is open to players of all abilities and positions and will wrap up with a scrimmage involving available players at the practice.

Benefit Bike Ride
South Royalton — Royalton Community Radio will hold a fundraising bicycle ride on June 22 in a continuing effort to get its online programming over the air.
There will be several mountain and road bike routes available for participants, all of which will begin from the back parking lot of the Vermont Law School at 11 a.m. Registration starts at 10 a.m.; prizes will be doled out to lucky riders at a post-ride reception.

New London — Entering its 50th year of existence, Kearsarge Youth Hockey will hold a registration session at the Lake Sunapee Bank community room on Monday from 6-7 p.m.
KYH offers youth hockey programs for players from ages 4-14. The organization is interested in players of all ages and is hoping to add players to fill its Bantam and Squirt rosters as well as fill two Mite teams this winter.

Twin Valley Registering
Meriden — The Twin Valley Youth Hockey Association has opened registration for all of its 2014-15 youth hockey programs.
TVYHA will offer learn-to-skate programs up through Midget-level hockey next winter. The association plans to offer U10 developmental and U12 house teams for girls as well.

Wednesday Walkers Sets Longer Excursions
White River Junction — With summer knocking on the door, Hartford Parks and Recreation’s Jay McDonough, the coordinator for the Wednesday Walkers hiking series, will stretch out the walks to 3-4 hours on nearby mountains, with each group meeting at the Hartford Municipal Building at 10 a.m.
Each trip is moderate to difficult in nature, intended to foster social interaction and visit places that participants may not have previously been able to experience. The schedule:
∎ June 25: Cardigan Mountain, Orange.
∎ July 9: Moose Mountain, Hanover.
∎ July 23: Mount Ascutney, Windsor.
∎ Aug. 6: Smarts Mountain, Lyme.
In all cases, walkers are asked to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring water and either a light snack or lunch.
