An Afternoon Away From School

Lyme Elementary school students (left to right) Ellie Knaus, 5, Sadie Ross, 5, and Ryhs Rountree, 6, cross East Thetford Road in Lyme with their chaperones, Laurel Ross (teal hat) and Rose Knaus, both of Lyme, yesterday. The students and adults were spending time on cross country skis as a part of Lyme Elementary’s Thursday afternoon recreation program. “We’re the group that takes our time,” said Ross, “The rest of the students are far ahead of us on the trail, but we are still having fun.” (Valley News - Sarah Priestap)
