Local Roundup: Lebanon Legion Still Unbeaten

Lebanon — Andrew Houde was force on the mound and at the plate as Lebanon’s Post 22 American Legion baseball team dismantled Plymouth 11-1 in a mercy-rule shortened seven-inning game on Saturday at Lebanon High. Post 22 improved to 9-0 overall, 8-0 in league play.

House allowed one hit and struck out 12 in six innings. At the plate, he had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. He was a triple shy of the cycle.

Teammate Cam Broughton had three hits and three RBIs, and Ben Bates had two hits as part of Lebanon’s 11-hit attack.

Lebanon heads to Manchester tonight to face Sweeney in a battle of two of the top teams in the league.

Lebanon — Tom Jenkins was 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs as Lebanon (3-2) earned a mercy-rule win over Meredith.

Steve Cerrone added two hits and Chase Hussey added a hit, two runs scored and two RBIs. Cerrone started on the mound and allowed one hit in four innings while striking out six.

Derek Griffin threw the final two innings and gave up one run on one hit.

Lebanon plays a twin bill today against Alton (noon) and New London (3 p.m.) at Lebanon High.

Touchline 2, Chunnam 1

Hollis, n.h. — Jonas Taenzer scored two goals, including the game-winner with 10 minutes left, as Touchline Boys SC (4-3-1) edged Chunnam in a New Hampshire Soccer Conference game.

Taenzer’s first goal was on a first-half penalty kick. Jaylen Davilla-Smith and Conor Edson split time in goal behind the strong defense of Colby Richardson, Sam Carey and Ian Caldwell.

Touchline returns to Norwich’s Huntley Meadows today to host Lebanon Central Supply.
