Local Roundup: Post 22 Wins Easily
Manchester — The Lebanon Post 22 American Legion baseball team cranked out 16 hits in an 18-2 rout of Jutras on Wednesday night. The game was shortened to seven innings from nine because of the mercy rule.
Tanner Simms and Noah Skarin had three hits apiece for Lebanon, while Ben Bates had two hits — including a bases-loaded triple — as did Andrew Houde.
Houde allowed one unearned run and three hits over five innings. He struck out five. Parker Thurston allowed one run and one hit over two innings, striking out three.
Post 22 greets Laconia on Friday.
Rutland 7, Hartford 0
Rutland — Hartford (1-2) suffered a shutout at Rutland. Cody Smith had two hits for Hartford, while teammates Hunter Perkins and Tyler Hamilton each had a hit and a walk.
Hartford starter Jacob Perkins allowed five runs on six hits and eight walks in five innings, and reliever Wyatt Connor allowed two runs on three hits in two innings.
Hartford visits Brattleboro on Thursday.
Lebanon Wilson Tire 4, Claremont 0
Plainfield — Trina Scheie scored three goals as Lebanon Wilson Tire defeated Claremont Women in a New Hampshire Soccer Conference game.
Emma Garenough also scored for Lebanon, and teammates Kyra Herbert and Jill Dion had assists.
Chrissy Drake was in goal for Lebanon Wilson Tire (2-0), which greets Dan & Whit’s on Thursday.
