Dartmouth Men’s Lax Picked to Finish Last

The recently-released Inside Lacrosse coaches’ poll on where the Ivy League men’s teams will finish this season wasn’t kind to Dartmouth, which was picked to finish seventh and last in the circuit. Then again, the Big Green is coming off a campaign in which it went 3-11 overall and 1-5 in league play.

Dartmouth has finished seventh in the Ivies two out of the last three years and tied for sixth the other season during that span. In a piece of good news, Dartmouth landed a player on the Ivy League coaches’ preseason all-conference team, which includes junior long-stick midfielder Bobby Osgood. Princeton, which accounted for the Big Green’s lone Ivy victory last spring, is picked to win the league.

Dartmouth opens the season Saturday, Feb. 22, at North Carolina.
