The Dartmouth College men’s soccer team has three chances remaining to avoid the second winless Ivy League season in program history. The 1971 squad finished 0-7.

The Big Green, 5-5-4 overall and 0-4 in Ivy play, visits Harvard (4-7-3, 3-1) on Saturday before hosting Cornell (6-4-4, 0-3-1) next weekend. The season concludes at Brown (5-6-3, 1-2-2).

This is strange territory for a program that has won five Ivy titles since 2002. The 2003 team was 1-6 and finished last in the league before rebounding for consecutive crowns in 2004-05.

First-year coach Chad Riley and his players must be hoping for a similar turnaround next fall.
