S. Faucher Joins SMC Staff

Colchester, Vt. — Scott Faucher, a former Lebanon High School guard and the son of former Dartmouth College men’s basketball coach Dave Faucher, has joined the coaching ranks himself, hired as a part-time assistant at St. Michael’s College.

Faucher, a May graduate of Wheaton College and a co-captain for the Lyons this past winter, begins his duties at St. Mike’s next month.

Faucher played 98 career games at Wheaton, starting a career-high 13 as a senior. The 5-foot-9 guard also played four varsity seasons at Lebanon, scoring 973 points before graduating in 2008.

Williamson T-12 in N.Y.

Lewiston, n.y. — Former Hanover High and Dartmouth College golfer Peter Williamson shot a final-round 69 to tie for 12th place at the Porter Cup golf tournament at Niagara Falls Country Club on Saturday.

After an even-par front nine, Williamson moved up the leaderboard with an eagle 2 on the par-4 10th followed by a birdie on the par-5 11th. But that’s as good as it would get for Williamson, who bogeyed two of his final four holes.
