Crusaders Hold Off Big Green, 11-10

Worcester, Mass. — The Dartmouth men’s lacrosse team wrapped up its non-conference slate yesterday afternoon as a five-goal, fourth-quarter rally fell short in an 11-10 loss to Holy Cross at Holy Cross Field.

The Big Green (3-10, 1-4 Ivy League) lost to the Crusaders (7-8, 2-4 Patriot League) for just the second time in the 32 game series history. With the loss, the Big Green end the 2013 season without a road win as the squad lost all seven of its games outside of Hanover.

Brendan Rotanz led Dartmouth with three goals and teammates Chris Costabile and Adam Fishman added two apiece. Terry McKenna led Holy Criss with three goals.

Big Green goalie Bernie Susskind (3-10) made 11 saves.

Dartmouth wraps up the regular season on Saturday, as it squares off with Brown at Scully-Fahey Field at 6 p.m. The game will be televised on Fox College Sports, and the nine members of the class of 2013 will also be honored prior to the contest.
