Hanover, Lebanon  Nordic Skiers Solid

North Conway, n.h. — Hanover and Lebanon turned out strong individual showings in New Hampshire Coaches Series race at Whitaker Woods yesterday.

Hanover’s girls team placed four in the top 25, led by Helen Tosteson’s ninth-place finish 17:48.3. Alexi Kim (17th, 18:26.1), Sarah Haedrich (23rd; 19:04.4) and Elizabeth Goss (25th; 19:14.0) followed.

Lebanon placed four in the top 50, with Kelsie Atwater earning a 16th-place finish in 18:21.1. Liz Peterson was 38th in 20:14.5; Hallie Bergwall finished right behind her in 20:14.8 and Sarah Berman was 46th in 20:37.3.

On the boys’ side, the Raiders placed four in the top 40 as Ian Girdwood (22nd; 15:49.9), Lincoln Crutchfield (25th; 16:03.0), Kenny Weitzman (26th; 16:03.1) and Jaff Taylor (38th; 16:31.8) paced Lebanon.

Hanover placed three in the top 30, led by Tucker Cadow’s 11th-place mark of 14:46.6. Colin Pogue (21st; 15:47.2), Christopher Powell (27th; 16:06.0) and Sam Gurwitt (52nd; 16:59.8) followed on the five-kilometer course.

Hanover hosts Lebanon, along with four other teams, at a home skate race Wednesday at Oak Hill.
