Ex-Dartmouth Assistant Hired

Purchase, n.y. — Michael Bocklet, recently let go as a Dartmouth College men’s lacrosse assistant coach, has been named Purchase (N.Y.) College’s first-ever head coach in the sport.

The Big Green’s offensive coordinator, Bocklet had been on its staff for two seasons before fifth-year head coach Andy Towers and his assistants were fired last month after a 2-11 season.

A former player at Fairfield (Conn.) University, Bocklet will lead a program that’s slated to begin NCAA Division III play during the 2016 season. Bocklet was a high school All-American at John Jay High in Westchester County, N.Y., an institution located about 20 miles north of Purchase.
